About 365Pixels

This is my attempt at the 365 photo challenge. I’m late to 2025, so this will be a building/testing year, and I will see if I can cement the habit of taking a daily photo.

General Rules I’ve Set Up for Myself

  1. Take One Photo Every Day

    • The core rule of the challenge is to take and share one photograph per day for 365 consecutive days. Set the habit and train the eye to always be on the lookout for photos. Daily practice makes you better. Looking back at my early photography, I cringe at shots and processing decisions. But through that process comes improvement.
  2. Original Work Only

    • I must take and process the photo. Due to work and life, shots from other days or my archives will sometimes be used for the daily photo. The intent, for most days, is a photo from that day.
  3. Editing Allowed

    • Editing photos is allowed and encouraged. It’s your art. Make the photo into what you want.
  4. Missed Days

    • If I miss a day, I can take two photos the next day to make up for it, but the goal is always to post one shot daily.
  5. Cameras

    • Like they say, the best camera is the one you have with you. The camera doesn’t matter; the majority will be with an iPhone, but the focus is on the photography, not the equipment. I’m also a Nikon D810 and Olympus OM-D shooter.
  6. Have Fun!

    • No stress. This project is to have fun with your photography, push your limits, inspire, learn, and grow as a hobbyist photographer.

Creative Guidelines

  1. Experimenting with Styles

    • Explore different genres of photography like landscapes, portraits, macro, or street photography.
  2. Push Yourself

    • Challenge skills by shooting in different lighting conditions, angles, or camera settings. Experiment heavily.
  3. Focus on Storytelling

    • Use the photos to tell a story about your day or capture a meaningful moment. Family life, outdoors, and crew life will be focus areas.
